Drought tolerant once established, provide consistent water during the bloom period for maximum size flowers. Heavy feeders, fertilize with a slow release organic fertilizer twice a season, and use Maxi-crop liquid kelp fertilizer during the height of the bloom period as needed. Trim back spent blooms. In the fall trim back foliage to 6 inches tall, and mulch around the base of the plant. Divide every 3 years in the spring as needed.
