How to grow Daylily: Plant daylilies in full sun to part sun location in well drained garden soil. Drought tolerant once established, provide consistent water during the bloom period for maximum size flowers. Heavy feeders, fertilize with a slow release organic fertilizer twice a season, and use Maxi-crop liquid kelp fertilizer during the height of the bloom period as needed. Trim back spent blooms. In the fall trim back foliage to 6 inches tall, and mulch around the base of the plant. Divide every 3 years in the spring as needed.
