Dwarf Fern-Leaf Bamboo (Pleioblastus pygmaeus 'Distichus')

Similar to Pygmy bamboo but with a very fine ferny appearance and prefers more protection from afternoon sun. Very useful as a ground cover or mass planting. Vigorous running type, so make sure you put it in the right place! Grows to 2 feet tall, but can also be mowed as short as 6" for an extremely fine-textured mass planting. Commonly used as a bonsai subject - beautiful!
