North American native plant, this hardy deciduous fern is named for the fine, hairlike roots. Delicate, glossy green leaves form black stemmed fronds that grow in a fan-shaped arrangement. A wonderful hardy fern to add to a shade garden.
USE FOR: Container plantings, foundation planting, shade perennial beds, shade border plants, adjacent to water features or fountains. Plant en masse for maximum impact with Hostas, and other shade perennial plants.
