Syringa vulgaris 'Glory'- French Lilac sports delicate, fragrant magenta buds that fade to clear pink-lilac flowers. Glory Lilac was developed in 1954 by Long Island, New York, breeder Theodore Havemeyer. This species is the common lilac, also referred to as French lilac, that most of us are familiar with; extremely fragrant flowers on 4 to 8 inch dense panicles, appearing in late spring to early summer.This shrub is a 2+ year old plant and is shipped in a standard nursery trade 1 gallon container.
