Extremely hardy Potentilla, Sutter's Gold is a dwarf spreading shrub that produces pale lemon-yellow flowers atop soft light green foliage. Ideal flowering shrub for high altitude locations, or for gardeners needing heat and drought tolerant plants. Deer and rabbit resistant.
USE FOR: Front of border plant, mixed with perennial plants, along walkways or in containers.

CULTURAL NOTES: Plant Potentilla in a full sun location for best results. While Potentilla shrubs will tolerate heavy soil, they thrive in well drained soil with consistent irrigation throughout the growing season. The flowers are borne on the tips of new growth. Shear back Potentilla in the spring for shape, and prune out any dead-wood.
