Full, double red flowers are produced in clusters atop woody, gray-green foliage on this hardy, drought tolerant perennial plant.

USE FOR: Alpine gardens, rock gardens, front of border in perennial beds, along paths and walkways, cascade over rock walls, as a container garden plant. Evergreen in zones 6 and above. Deer resistant, attracts butterflies.

How to grow Sun Rose: Helianthemum are tolerant of most soil types, but prefer dry, well-draining soil. Apply a balanced organic fertilizer sparingly in the late spring, and again mid summer. Stay away from high nitrogen synthetic fertilizers such as Miracle Gro, which can cause plants to flop. Prune plants in early spring to promote a denser carpet of growth. Shear to 3" after flowering.
